SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Despite strong efforts at the No. 1 and No. 3 singles spots, the La Salle University men's tennis team fell to Dayton, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon.
After dropping the doubles point to begin the match, sophomore
Francesco Mowrey forced a first-set tiebreaker against the reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year Jordan Benjamin. Despite dropping the tiebreak, Mowrey acquitted himself well against one of the top players in the league.
Two courts down, junior
Tomas Christian dropped the first set by a 6-4 score but came storming back to win the second, 6-3. The match was halted due to the Flyers clinching the team win by winning the singles matches at No. 4, 5 and 6.Â
