PHILADELPHIA – La Salle senior
Kristin Haugstad has been named GoExplorers.com Student-Athlete of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Haugstad scored two goals in La Salle's opening week, including the game-winner with 7:03 left in regulation at Temple on Sunday afternoon. The Nesodden, Norway native also scored to tie Friday's game against St. John's at 2-2 in the 54
th minute.
Haugstad tallied 10 points as a junior in 2016 on two goals and six assists. The six assists were fifth in the Atlantic 10.
The Explorers are back in action on Thursday when they host Iona at McCarthy Stadium at 6 PM. La Salle will also visit Penn next weekend with a Sunday evening match against the Quakers at Rhodes Field.
