PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team returns to action on Sunday to visit crosstown rival Villanova at 1 PM.
Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle is coming off a 1-1 week, defeating Fairleigh Dickinson 1-0 on Sunday after suffering a 1-0 loss to Drexel on Thursday night.
-With the 1-0 win over FDU, La Salle is now second in the A-10 with four shutouts on the season. The Explorers have a 0.64 goals-against average.

Maci Bower scored the game-winning goal against the Knights, which was her second game-winning goal this season after giving La Salle a 1-0 advantage against Iona on August 24.

Madison Bower assisted the game-winnerl and is tied for the lead in assists in the Atlantic 10 with five. Bower is second with total points with nine thanks to a pair of goals.

Scouting the Wildcats
-Villanova plays just their second road game of the season Friday night when they travel to Lehigh before hosting the Explorers on Sunday.
-The Wildcats are coming off back-to-back wins last weekend against Saint Joseph's and Lafayette, marking the first time VU has won consecutive games since 2012.
-Nova defeated Lafayette 5-0, which is the most goals scored in a single game since 2008, when the Wildcats defeated UMBC 7-0 to open the season.
-Villanova captured recognition for the big weekend as Amanda Vocelka was awarded BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, Emily Kuefler was named Defensive Player of the Week, and Emily Harris was named to the Weekly Honor Roll.
