WASHINGTON – The No. 12 seed La Salle women's basketball team opens the Atlantic 10 Championship on Tuesday night at No. 5 George Washington. Tipoff from the Smith Center is set for 7:00 p.m.

Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle is coming off a 65-55 loss at George Mason on Saturday in the regular season finale. The Explorers cut the GMU lead to two points late in the 4
th quarter before the Patriots went on a run to seal the win.

Amy Griffin blocked four shots on Saturday to become La Salle's all-time leader in career blocks with 150. The senior tied Linda French (1982-87) for the program record of 147 blocks just 31 seconds into action before breaking the record at the 4:10 mark in the 2nd quarter.

Sofilia Ngwafang finished with 10 points on Saturday in 18 minutes off the bench, going 5-for-8 from the field and pulling down five rebounds. The sophomore is shooting an efficient 55.5 percent from the field this season.

Shalina Miller finished with 10 points for the second game in a row on Saturday. The sophomore scored in double figures six times in A-10 play.

-The winner of Tuesday's game will advance to the Atlantic 10 Championship Quarterfinals in Richmond to play the winner of No. 4 George Mason and No. 12 St. Bonaventure on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
Scouting the Colonials
-George Washington was held to its lowest point total of the season in a 49-36 loss to Richmond on Saturday at the Smith Center.
-Senior Brianna Cummings finished with a team-high 11 points against the Spiders to become the 35th member of GW's 1,000-point club. The senior leads the team with 14.1 points per game.
-Despite Saturday's result, GW held the opposition to 50 points or less for the 10th time this season. The Colonials also limited Richmond to 39 percent shooting, which is the 14th time this season an opponent has shot 40 percent or worse from the field.
