STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – Sophomore
Jessica Bryant collected her fourth victory of the season and first in the long jump to lead the La Salle University women's track and field team at the Villanova Invitational on Saturday.
Bryant captured the long jump with a winning leap of 5.58 meters. She also placed second in the triple jump with a mark of 11.44 meters, while junior
Kaleah Miller was seventh with a jump of 10.79 meters.
Freshman
Makayla Eberly finished eighth in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:17.57, followed by senior
Ifetayo Tyler in ninth at 2:17.73. Sophomore
Grace Mancini also finished ninth in the mile with a time of 4:55.83.
Senior
Michelle Myland was 11th in the 3,000 meters with a time of 10:19.44. In the 200-meter dash, freshman
Chidinma Matthew finished 12th out of 37 finishers with a time of 25.66, while senior
Amber Jenkins was 14th at 25.79.
La Salle will return to Staten Island on Friday, Feb. 9, to compete in the Fastrack National Qualifier Invitational.
