AKRON, Ohio -- Facing a team that won 23 matches last season, the La Salle University women's tennis team lost to Akron, 7-0, on Thursday afternoon.
The Zips swept the Explorers in all nine matches to improve to 11-7 on the season. La Salle did have a pair of players take five games in singles action, as junior
Brittany Poje and senior
Jade Smith did so at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, respectively.
La Salle rounds out a busy week of action with a non-conference matchup at Loyola (Md.) on Saturday, March 17.
