PHILADELPHIA – La Salle University Director of Athletics Bill Bradshaw has announced that the contract for head women's basketball coach Jeff Williams will not be renewed.

"Jeff has given eight years to La Salle and we appreciate his commitment to the program," Bradshaw said. "We wish him nothing but the best in the future."

Williams compiled a 92-149 record over his eight seasons at the helm of the program, including a 17-win campaign in 2016-17. This year, the Explorers finished 8-22 overall and 3-13 in the Atlantic 10.

"My family and I would like to thank La Salle University for giving me the opportunity to lead the women's basketball program," Williams said. "I would especially like to thank former administrators Brother Michael McGinniss and Dr. Tom Brennan, as well as current administrators Dr. Colleen Hanycz and Bill Bradshaw for their support over the last eight years. I wish the Lady Explorers the very best!"

A search for a new head women's basketball coach will begin immediately.
