PHILADELPHIA – La Salle women's soccer assistant coach Jamie Scott has been named the 2017 Boys Travel Coach of the Year by the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Award Committee, it was announced last month.
 
"It's quite an extraordinary honor for Jamie to receive such a deserving award," said head coach Paul Royal. "It shows his wonderful commitment to developing high level players along with a selfless desire to invest in each player."
 
Scott, who was promoted to top assistant in 2016 after four years at La Salle, was honored by Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer for his work with the Penn Fusion Soccer Academy's Elite 1998 & Elite 1999 Boys.  
 
"We're so lucky to have someone with Jamie's acumen influencing our La Salle program," added Royal. "It turned out to be a special year for him as he also led our relentless attack that set a program record in goals and ranked ninth in Division I in scoring."
