PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University men's tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss to Delaware in its final non-conference match of the season Friday.
The Explorers fought hard in doubles action, taking a pair of matches into tiebreakers. Sophomore
Patrick Pascual and freshman
Colin Lucius won a 10-8 decision in the tiebreak of their match at No. 3, but senior
Tomas Christian and junior
Francesco Mowrey fell by a narrow 11-9 margin to give the Blue Hens an early 1-0 team lead.
In singles, Delaware earned straight-set wins at No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 to earn the 4-0 win and improve to 15-7 on the year. Mowrey was leading his match at No. 1 singles by a set before it was called.
La Salle continues Atlantic 10 play on Sunday, April 15 against Saint Joseph's.
