NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – La Salle junior Emma Schweigert earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team, the conference office announced Tuesday. 
 
Schweigert maintains a 3.63 GPA as a marketing major and is coming off her best season as an Explorer. The outfielder tied the La Salle single-season record with 10 home runs this season, which ranked seventh in the A-10 this season. After three seasons at La Salle, Schweigert is seventh on the all-time home run list with 16 career round-trippers.
 
The Auburn, Pa. native led the team in runs scored (37), extra-base hits (16), slugging percentage (.552) and stolen bases (8). Schweigert started all 46 games and drove in 20 runs, second on the team only to Marissa Ewald's 24 RBI's.
