PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University men's tennis team took part in the rain-shortened Saint Joseph's Invitational over the weekend.
Sophomore
Colin Lucius earned a victory in the third singles flight, defeating Joe Cartledge of Johns Hopkins in straight sets to advance to the second round. Classmate
Rogelio Gonzalez narrowly dropped a pair of close matches in the top singles flight, falling to Matt Miles of Milwaukee-Wisconsin by a 10-8 margin the supertiebreaker after winning the second set in a tiebreak.Â
In the consolation flight, Gonzalez fell to Zach Elliot of Lehigh, 7-5, 2-6, 10-7.
La Salle continues its fall season at the Fordham Invitational on Oct. 6-7.
