KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The La Salle women's soccer team has received the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2018-19 academic year, marking the 17
th straight year and 18
th overall, the organization announced Thursday. The women's program was one of 647 to be recognized this year.
La Salle was one of 258 schools to have both their men's and women's programs recognized. Recipients of the award are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better for all players on the roster for the academic year.
The Explorers posted a 3.57 GPA under head coach
Paul Royal during the 2018-19 academic year.
