LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Five La Salle softball players have been named 2019 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, the NFCA announced. Seniors

Lauren Morell, juniors
Ashley Mendenhall,
Morgan Orlowski, and graduate
Emma Schweigert '19 each posted a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher at the conclusion of the 2018-19 academic year.
Morell posted the highest GPA on the team at 3.99, followed by Mendenhall (3.96), Conaway (3.72), Orlowski (3.70), and Schweigert (3.67).
In total, the NFCA recognized over 8,000 student-athletes this year. The honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the NFCA membership categories. NCAA Division III led the way with 1,928 student-athletes. NCAA Division I and Division II followed with 1,769 and 1,306 honorees. High School weighted and High School unweighted earned 1,225 and 793 distinctions. NAIA and two-year programs each amassed 570 recipients.
