PHILADELPHIA – After two years at junior colleges,
Haleigh Hill has transferred to La Salle to join the women's basketball program, head coach
Mountain MacGillivray announced Friday. Hill spent the 2018-19 season at Dodge City Community College in Kansas and the 2017-18 season at South Plains College in Texas.
"
Haleigh Hill is such a good fit for our system with her ability to play inside and out," MacGillivray said. "She fills needs in rebounding and defending around the basket."
While at Dodge City, Hill led her team in both points and rebounds per outing, while shooting 40.5% from the floor. She scored 7.8 points and corralled 5.7 rebounds on average in her 30 games played. On the year, she made 14 starts.
During her freshman year at South Plains, the Allen, Texas native appeared in 29 games, making two starts. Hill dropped 3.3 points per outing and recorded 4.2 rebounds per contest.
A 2017 graduate of Allen High School, she was a four-year letterwinner in basketball and one-year letterwinner in track and field.
