PHILADELPHIA – After a successful spring season, the La Salle women's soccer team looks to return to the post season in 2019. Head coach
Paul Royal announced the 2019 schedule on Friday, which is highlighted by a trip to take on nationally ranked Duke.
The Explorers will take on a pair of teams from the NCAA Women's College Cup a season ago, including their season opener on August 22 against Duke as part of the Carolina Nike Classic hosted by national runner-up North Carolina. La Salle concludes the classic with a match against North Florida on Sunday.
Following the opening weekend on the road, the Blue & Gold return to Philadelphia for its home opener against NJIT on Thursday August 29. The home opener is followed by three-straight road contests at Drexel, Florida Gulf Coast, and St. John's.
La Salle then has a three-game homestand as Delaware, Navy, and George Washington come to McCarthy Stadium. Atlantic 10 play continues with a trip to Richmond and a home game against Duquesne on the final weekend of September.
League play finishes up in the month of October with the Explorers hosting VCU and then traveling to Saint Joseph's, Saint Louis, and George Mason before returning home to play Davidson. The final weekend sees a game at UMass and the final home game of the regular season against Dayton.
The Atlantic 10 Tournament starts the opening weekend of November and concludes November 8-10 at Saint Louis.
