PHILADELPHIA – Head coach
Mountain MacGillivray has announced the non-conference portion of the women's basketball schedule for the 2019-20 season. The slate will see eight rematches from a season ago and five new opponents, including a post-Thanksgiving tournament at Navy.
La Salle starts its season on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Howard. The matchup is a rematch of last season's opener on the same date. The following two games are also repeating from a year ago with Robert Morris (11/9) and Harvard (11/15) making the trip to Philadelphia.
Two straight road contests follow the two-game home stand as the Explorers head to Penn State (11/17) and Norfolk State (11/22). Coppin State pays a visit before Thanksgiving (11/26), prior to La Salle heading to Navy for a matchup against UMBC (11/30) and either Navy/Kennesaw State (12/1).
December concludes with a five-game slate, which begins as Big 5 rival Penn (12/4) travels north for a mid-week matchup. The final four games are split with two consecutive on the road at Rider (12/7) and Drexel (12/17) and two games at home with Villanova (12/21) and Temple (12/30).
Atlantic 10 play begin with the start of the new year. The league released its women's basketball pairings with official dates to come in the fall. La Salle will take on Saint Joseph's, George Mason, and Richmond twice (home & away) with a single game against each other league opponent.
