NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Freshman Leah Giles has been named Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday. This is the first time in her career that the rookie has earned this accolade.
 
Giles, a Deptford, N.J. product, assisted on the game-winning goal in double overtime against Duquesne on Sunday. The rookie was also part of the defense that allowed just one goal to Richmond, another overtime victory for La Salle. Giles now leads the team with four assists, and is ranked third in the A-10.
 
The Explorers are back in action on Thursday when they host VCU. Thursday's game is part of the Fall Tailgate Series with food provided to La Salle students from J.D. McGillicuddy's. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
