BRONX, N.Y. – Sophomore Chris Lewis won two events as the La Salle University men's track and field team piled up six victories at the Robert Elkin Invitational on Friday.
 
WHERE THEY FINISHED

• Lewis took both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash crowns. He out-sprinted five competitors in the 60 meters with a time of 6.96 and defeated a field of 21 runners in the 200 with a time of 22.77 seconds. Freshman Dan Whaley wasn't too far behind in the 200, taking fifth at 23.33.
• Sophomore Ryan James captured the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:51.73 to top the 12-man field.
• Senior Ache Hall won the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.53 seconds and ran in 8.50 in the prelims. Junior Dylan Burnett was second in 8.76 seconds.
• Senior Darian Alston captured the triple jump title with a leap of 13.80 meters. He was also third in the long jump with a mark of 6.06 meters.
• Junior Dennis Manyeah did what he does best, winning the high jump with a leap of 2.10 meters, defeating the next man by 7.5 inches.
• Sophomore Brycen Pitre was ninth out of 14 in the 800 meters at 2:05.61.
