KINGSTON, R.I. – The La Salle University women's track and field team scored in three different events on the opening day of the Atlantic 10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at Mackal Field House on Saturday.
 
WHERE THEY FINISHED

• Sophomore El Mancini led the way with a fourth place finish in the 5,000 meters, clocking in at 16:47.21.
• The Explorers also took fifth place in the distance medley relay as freshman Jerika Lufrano, junior Makayla Eberly, freshman Sammie Miller and sophomore Liz Mancini teamed up to post a time of 12:01.79.
• Meanwhile, senior Jessica Bryant scored in the long jump, placing eighth out of 29 jumpers with a leap of 5.48 meters.
• Freshman Christine Mancini ran the fifth fastest time in the 1,000 meters at 2:55.82 to qualify for Sunday's finals.
• Sophomore Deirdre Gilmore also ran the 5,000 meters, placing 16th among 30 runners with a mark of 18:01.63.

• The Explorers will take part in the second and final day of competition the Atlantic 10 Championships on Sunday.
