Track and Field Releases 2021-2022 Indoor/Outdoor Schedule

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The La Salle men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete in a full indoor and outdoor season for the first time since the 2018-19 season as head coach Tom Peterson announced the full schedule for the 2021-22 campaign on Wednesday.
 
The Explorers will open the indoor season on Saturday, Jan. 15 in Staten Island, New York for the Penn Select then will return two weeks later for the Albany Winter Classic on Jan. 28. A split squad will travel to George Mason on that same day.
 
La Salle will make two more trips to New York and one to Massachusetts in the month of February for the Dr. Sander Invite (2/4-2/5), the Fastrack National Invite (2/11) and the BU Valentine Classic (2/11-2/12). The Explorers wrap up the month of February with the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships in Fairfax, Virginia on Feb. 26-27.
 
The indoor season concludes with the IC4A/ECAC Championships in Boston, Massachusetts from Mar. 3- 5 followed by the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama from Mar. 11 -12.
 
The Explorers waste no time jumping into the outdoor season starting with the Penn Challenge on Mar. 19. La Salle will then make the trip to North Carolina for the three-day Raleigh Relays on Mar. 24 – 26 before returning home to Philadelphia for the Big 5 meet (4/4) followed by the Temple Invitational (4/8).
 
The squad will wrap up the month of April with the Larry Ellis Invite (4/15), the Virginia Challenge (4/15-4/16) and the Penn Relays (4/28).
 
La Salle will head to Richmond, Virginia for the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships on May 7-8 followed by the West Point Twilight on May 12 and the IC4A/ECAC Championships on May 14-15.   
 
This year's NCAA Outdoor Championship preliminaries are slated for May 25 – 28 in Bloomington, Indiana followed by the finals on Jun. 8 – 11 in Eugene, Oregon.
