NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Madison McCready of the La Salle women's soccer team was named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

McCready scored two goals and handed out one assist while leading the Explorers to a 5-0 win over George Mason last Saturday on Senior Day. The senior midfielder's pair of goals were the first two of her career. She also set career highs in shots (five) and shots on goal (three) in the victory, which was the fifth straight win for La Salle.

The Explorers, which is tied for second in the A-10 standings with 15 points, will be back in action Thursday night when they host Fordham in another A-10 match at McCarthy Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
