NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association awarded five Explorers All-Academic honors while both the men's and women's teams as a whole earned team All-Academic Awards.  

Christine Mancini, El Mancini and Liz Mancini earned the nod on the women's side while Ibrahim Kedir and Liam Rivard were named All-Academic for the men. Student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale as well as finish the indoor season ranked in the top 96 in any championships individual event. Additionally, for the outdoor season, the student-athletes must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.  

As a squad the women's team posted a 3.46 GPA while the men's posted a 3.47 GPA to be named All-Academic Teams. To earn the honor, teams must record a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
