SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle is coming off of a fourth-straight loss, this time coming at the hands of the George Washington Revolutionaries in D.C. 49-71.
  • Makayla Miller and Nicole Melious each had strong individual performances offensively scoring 16 and 14 points respectively. Miller now sits as the leading scorer for La Salle, averaging 10.5 points per game.
  • The Blue & Gold will need more scoring from the rest of the team in tomorrow's contest. Miller and Melious combined for 30 of the team's 49 points against GW.
  • The Explorers had a difficult time on the boards against the Revs on Wednesday, which is a common trend for the season. GW outrebounded La Salle 46-32.
  • La Salle and Saint Joseph's met a little over a month ago on Hawk Hill and the Hawks came out on top. Saint Joe's won 64-39 where Talya Brugler dropped 26 points in that win for the Hawks. La Salle played St. Joe's tough through the first half, only trailing by three at the end of the second, but it was short lived once the second half began.

  • La Salle has now lost four-straight games after Wednesday's loss to George Washington. The Explorers sit at 4-9 in conference play, along with Fordham. The Hawks are tied for first in the A-10 with Richmond at 12-1.
  • As a team, the Explorers take as many three-point shots as any team in the Atlantic 10 Conference with 27.3 per game. Nationally, La Salle is ranked 10th in the nation in that category. Marshall ranks first taking 31.0 three-point attempts per game this season.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS:
  • The Hawks and in the middle of a truly historic season for the program. They enter tomorrow at 23-2, their best record for a team through 25 games in program history.
  • SJU comes in riding a ten-game winning streak, with their only loss coming at the hands of the A-10 leader Richmond.
