Philadelphia, PA - La Salle returns to the John E. Glaser Arena on Saturday afternoon to host American, looking to continue its strong start to the season. The game begins at 1:00 PM and will be streamed on ESPN+.
Scouting the Eagles
American enters the matchup at 1–3 after falling to LIU on Thursday, 69–55, marking the Eagles' third straight loss. Their lone win came in the season opener, a 66–63 victory over Delaware State that delivered first-year head coach Kelly Killion her first career win with the program. Through four regular-season games, sophomore Molly Driscoll has been a bright spot, leading American in scoring (16.0 PPG) and field goal percentage (45.5%). Fellow sophomore Madisyn Moore-Nicholson is also emerging, posting a career-high 20 points in the team's recent loss to Delaware.
The Explorers and Eagles have met four times—all since 2016—with La Salle holding a 3–1 advantage. After splitting matchups in 2016 and 2017, La Salle has won each of the last two meetings by nine points. Last season, Aryss Macktoon recorded a then-career-high 22 points on the road at American.
Double Double-Double
La Salle is coming off a game in which both Ashleigh Connor and Aryss Macktoon posted double-doubles. Connor finished with 18 points and a career-high 12 rebounds, while Macktoon added 17 points and a career-best 14 boards.
20-20-20 Vision
History was made against Lehigh as Macktoon, Connor, and Joan Quinn became the first trio in program history to each score 20+ points in the same game during La Salle's 81–70 road win. Macktoon also added eight steals, with the group combining for 15 rebounds and nine assists.

Freshman Kiara Williams continues to shine early in her collegiate career, averaging 9.6 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 52.9% from the floor. She recorded a career-high 16 points against West Chester, converting three and-one finishes.
Freshman Block Party
Rookies Amiya Moses and Ava Hoy have made immediate defensive impacts. Moses is averaging 1.4 blocks in just 9.4 minutes per game, while Hoy has already tallied two blocks across only 11 total minutes.
Mask Off
Sophomore Joan Quinn found her rhythm in her first game without a facemask, scoring 13 points with four rebounds. She was also the only Explorer to knock down a three-pointer against West Chester.
