De'Sean Fennell picked up a win at No. 2 singles, but the men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 match to Loyola on Thursday afternoon on the La Salle Tennis Courts.
“I'm disappointed in the loss,” head coach Ed Colfer said. “We have to bounce back for against a tough Fordham team on Saturday.”
Fennell defeated the Greyhounds' Pierce Norton 6-2, 7-5 to take the No. 2 singles victory.
Sophomore
Joseph LaBate won his first set, 7-5, but then fell in the second set and 10-2 in the tiebreak.
Earlier in the match, the Explorers were swept in the doubles competition.
La Salle plays Fordham on the road on Saturday. The match is set to being at 11:00 a.m.
