PHILADELPHIA – The men's tennis team dropped a tight match to Chestnut Hill, 4-3, on Thursday afternoon on the La Salle Tennis Courts.
The Explorers got off to a good start on the day after winning the doubles point on victories by freshman
De'Sean Fennell and junior
Trevor Donovan at No. 1 and sophomore
Chas Berenato and junior
Hunter Selman at No. 3.
In singles competition, Fennell, playing at the No. 1 position, had a solid match against Mike Humes of Chestnut Hill, winning 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.
Freshman
Robert Kasinow picked up La Salle's other singles victory on the day, a 4-6, 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6.
The Explorers will have a busy weekend with matches against Norfolk State, Rutgers-Camden and St. Francis (PA) all scheduled.
