PHILADELHPIA – The women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 defeat at the hands of fellow Atlantic 10 school Temple on Tuesday afternoon at the Temple Tennis Pavilion.

La Salle was swept in the doubles competition and did not field a team at No. 3 doubles.

In singles play, freshman Celesta Smith was the last player on the court for the Explorers. She pushed her opponent at No. 2 singles to a 6-4 first set before falling 6-2 in the second.

The Explorers play again tomorrow at Monmouth at 3:30 p.m.
