ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Explorers dropped a tight 5-4 match to Elizabethtown in their regular season finale on Thursday afternoon on Elizabethtown's Alumni Courts.
La Salle won just one of the doubles matches after 
Kiara Smith and 
Chloe Trave earned an 8-6 victory at the No. 2 position.
After the Explorers dropped the No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches in straight sets, the squad was down 1-5 in the match.
La Salle would fight for wins in the remaining singles matches, but it wouldn't be enough to overcome the Blue Jays.
 Sophomore 
Chloe Trave won at No. 4 singles, after winning an elongated first set, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.
At No. 1 singles, 
Kiara Smith won her first set 6-0, but dropped the second 4-6.  However, she would come out ahead 10-7 in the tiebreaker.
Sophomore 
Celesta Smith was also pushed to a tie breaker at No. 2 singles, but came out on top 4-6, 6-2, 10-7.
The Explorers will have a week off before heading to the Atlantic 10 Championships next Friday.
