2012 Men's Soccer Schedule

PHILADELPHIA - Coming off of its second straight Atlantic 10 Championship berth, the La Salle men's soccer squad takes to the pitch again this season with eyes set on another tournament run.

The Explorers open the 2012 campaign at Drexel on Saturday, Aug. 25, before traveling to Loyola (Md.) on Friday, Aug. 31.

The home opener is set for Sunday, Sept. 2, with a 1 p.m. contest against Mount St. Mary's. That marks the first of three straight home games, as the Explorers then host Patriot League opponents Bucknell (Fri. 9/7) and Lafayette (Sun. 9/9). They take on their third straight Patriot League foe with a midweek trip to Lehigh on Wednesday, Sept. 12.

The Explorers will return home for one game, hosting Long Island on Saturday, Sept. 15, before heading back on the road for the final three nonconference games of the season. They head to Villanova on Thursday, Sept. 20 for a 4 p.m. game, then travel to UMBC on Tuesday, Sept. 25 and to Saint Peter's on Saturday, Sept. 29.

The Atlantic 10 portion of the schedule opens on Friday, Oct. 5 with back-to-back home games against Richmond (Fri. 10/5) and George Washington (Sun. 10/7). The Explorers pack their bags the following weekend for trips to Saint Louis (Fri. 10/12) and Charlotte (Sun. 10/14) before returning home for the final three home games of the season - Fordham (Fri. 10/19), Saint Joseph's (Fri. 10/26) and Temple (Sun. 10/28).

The squad wraps up the regular season with trips to St. Bonaventure (Fri. 11/2) and Duquesne (Sun. 11/4).

The 2012 Atlantic 10 Championship is set for Nov. 8-12 at Charlotte's Transamerica Field.
