Women's Tennis Drops First Home Match Against Philadelphia University

PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle women's tennis team opened the home schedule with a 6-3 loss to Philadelphia University.
 
After losing the first set, 6-4, junior Chloe Trave over came the deficit in the second set to force a tie breaker. The junior defeated the Rams number three player 13-12.
 
The Explorers also got victories from seniors Allison Amrein and Jenna Manzione. Amrein won with a first set victory 6-3. Manzione won the first set 6-2, then the second set 6-1.

"Our team performed very well despite, missing two key players, Kiara Smith and Elli Vamvakitis" coach Tony Green said after the match.
 
La Salle lost all three doubles matches.
 
The Explorers will be back on the courts Sunday as they travel to Jersey City, N.J. for a match against Saint Peter's.
