PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle women's tennis team defeated the University of the Sciences, 7-2.
 
The Explorers were led by sophomore Celesta Smith, who had a pair of victories. Smith defeated her opponent Victoria Quang in the singles match. The sophomore paired up with Caitlin Coelho to win their doubles match, 8-1.  
 
Coelho also won her singles match against Devils senior Desiree Vassalotti.
 
La Salle also received victories from seniors Allison Amrein and Jenna Mazione, and junior Chloe Trave.
 
The Explorers (2-2) won two of their three doubles matches.
