PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's tennis team will travel to Millersville University to open up the 2012-2013 campaign on Sunday.
 
The matches are set to begin at 1:30 pm.
 
La Salle returns six members of their 2011-2012 team, including senior Kiara Smith and sophomore Celesta Smith.
 
Kiara Smith went 4-9 in singles play, while playing at the No. 1 position.  Smith recorded a 4-9 record in doubles, at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. Celesta Smith recorded in a 6-8 singles record in her freshman campaign, mostly at the No. 2 position. The freshman went 4-11 in doubles play.
 
In addition, coach Anthony Green looks for upperclassman Chloe Trave and Jenna Manzione to make an impact for the Explorers.
 
The junior Trave went 6-8 in singles, while recording a 4-9 record in doubles competition in the 2011-2012 campaign.
 
Manzione posted a 2-8 record in her junior campaign. The senior went 3-3 in doubles play.
 
The Explorers take to the Belfield courts for the first time in the 2012-2013 season on Saturday 13^th against Philadelphia University.
