PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's tennis team earned their fifth straight win after a close match against Mount St. Mary's, 4-3.
Junior
Thomas MacLeod, who earned two victories on Saturday, led the Explorers to victory over the Mountaineers.
MacLeod defeated his opponent in straight sets with a score of 6-4. The junior paired up with
Robert Kasinow to earn a victory in doubles play, 9-8.
Kasinow dropped a tough match in singles play at the number four position.
The Explorers defeated the Mountaineers for the first time in seven years, dating back to 2006.
La Salle also earned a straight set victory from
De'Sean Fennell in the number one position. Junior
Dale Fetterman fought off a tough match with earning the victory in three sets. The Explorers earned a fourth victory in singles play from freshman
Brian Balico. Balico improved his individual record to 6-2 with a two set victory.
The men's tennis team will next take the court when they travel to Saint Peter's on October 6th.
