PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's tennis dropped a tough match to Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, 6-1.
 
The Explorers earned a victory in singles from senior Caitlin Coelho. Coelho defeated her opponent in three sets. After winning the first set, 6-2, the senior dropped the second set 1-6. In a hard fought third set, Coelho finished off her Mountaineer opponent 10-6.
 
The record has dropped to 2-2 on the fall season for the Explorers.
 
La Salle was not able to earn a victory in doubles play, but almost earn a win in the number one position. Coelho and junior Celesta Smith dropped the close match 8-6.
 
The Explorers will take the court on October 11th when they travel to Kutztown University.
