PHILADELPHA – The La Salle women's tennis team played their second match of the spring season with a loss at home to Chestnut Hill College, 8-1.
 
The Explorers (2-5) opened their home campaign against the Griffins. Senior Elli Vamvakitis lead the Explorers with an exciting victory over the Griffins Danielle Knott.
 
Vamvakitis defeated her opponent in straight sets, but they were not easy. Both sets went into the tiebreakers. The senior won 7-6 (7-5), and 7-6 (7-4).
 
The Explorers return to action on Saturday when they host St. Francis (Pa). The match will be a part of the alumni day with a double header of matches.
 
The events start at 9 a.m. with the men's team playing St. Francis (Pa.).  An alumni luncheon will take place at noon in the Dunleavy Room. After the luncheon, head back to the Belfield Courts to catch the women's team take on the Red Flash.
