PHILADELPHIA – The Explorers' softball team lost two in yesterday's doubleheader against the Fordham Rams, 1-5 and 0-8. Sophomore Alicia Aughton started in the circle for both games.
 
The Explorers tied the Rams after the top of the third inning in game one, 1-1, but could not stop Fordham from notching two runs in both the bottom third and fourth innings to take a 5-1 lead. La Salle's lone run came from junior Emily Moran who singled to left, stole second, and was driven in my freshman Casey Lester.
 
Explorer bats were virtually silent in the second game of the day as the squad recorded just three singles from senior Tristan Musho and juniors Megan Hodgson and Jamie Dellinger. The Rams amassed a total of eight runs in an offensive display where they picked up five doubles, two triples, and two homeruns.
 
The Explorers take the Easter weekend off before travelling to Villanova to take on the Wildcats in a doubleheader starting at 2:00 PM.
