PHIADELPHIA – The La Salle men's tennis team finished off the home campaign with a win over Rider, 7-0.
 
The Explorers earned points in every one of their matches, including wins in the three doubles matches.
 
Senior Trevor Donovan earned a singles win by winning two sets against his opponent Matt DiMartino. Donovan also teamed up with sophomore De'Sean Fennell to dominate in a doubles match, 8-2.

“It was very important for Trevor to not only get the victory in the three spot, but also to team up with De'Sean in earning a very important doubles victory” head coach Ed Colfer said.
 
Fennell entered Wednesday with a two match-winning streak in singles play. He extended the win streak with a two set victory over Drew Laverty.

“He has been a key component to the season. Each match he will try to work off of the momentum that he had finished the last match with,” Colfer added when asked about Fennell.
 
Sophomore Thomas MacLeod and senior Hunter Selman paired up to earn another victory as a team. The duo defeated Matt Gershon and Nick Lubold 8-4.
 
The Explorers will compete on Saturday when they travel to Edison, N.J. for a neutral site match against Northern Kentucky.
 
After the match against the Norse of Northern Kentucky, the Explorers will visit Loyola Greyhounds in Baltimore, MD. on Sunday.
