PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle softball team has a busy week ahead as they prepare for three doubleheaders in four days beginning on Sunday, April 21 with a conference game against the Dayton Fliers. The Explorers are also set to take on the UMBC Retrievers on Tuesday and the George Washington Colonials on Wednesday.
Explorers' Notes
• La Salle currently sits at 13-23 on the season and 2-12 in the Atlantic 10.
• The Explorers have struggled on the field lately, currently in the midst of a ten-game losing streak dating back to April 6.
• As a team, La Salle is ranked fourth in the conference in doubles with 42 on the season.

The top three batters for the Explorers are all freshman with Downingtown, Pa native
Paige Giunta leading the squad with a .311 average while the team holds a .222 average.

Megan Hodgson remains the team's power hitter with 5 homeruns while sophomore
Alicia Aughton has hit 3 over the fence this season. Hodgson also leads the team in RBIs (22), runs scored (15), total bases (45), and stolen bases (6).
Fliers' Notes
• Dayton currently sits at 17-18 on the season and 8-5 in the Atlantic 10.
• The Fliers have lost three of their last four games.
• Junior Kasi Vasquez leads the team in an array of categories – batting average (.333), homeruns (8), slugging % (.667), and on-base % (.479).
• The Fliers maintain a .262 team batting average and a .957 fielding percentage.
• Freshman Emily Froment boasts a 2.09 ERA and a 6-2 record in the circle to lead the Dayton pitching squad.
• Through 13 conference games, sophomore Tiffany Ricks has batted a dominating .481.
