PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle softball team has its hands full this week with a pair of doubleheaders on Tuesday and Wednesday against UMBC and George Washington, respectively. Both matchups are scheduled to begin at 3 PM at West Campus Field.
La Salle Notes
• With two more losses to Dayton in yesterday's matchup, the Explorers have slipped to 13-25 overall and 2-14 in the conference.

In the Explorers' last outing, junior
Megan Hodgson ripped a grand slam over the left field wall to give the Explorers a 6-5 lead over Dayton through four innings. This marked her second grand slam on the season with the first coming against Temple on March 23. Hodgson now has double the number of homeruns compared to the next closest Explorer.

In their last outing against UMBC on 3/15, La Salle won 5-4 after senior
Tristan Musho provided a two-run single in the top of the eighth.

Sophomore
Alicia Aughton currently holds a 3.82 ERA and an 8-13 record in the circle. Aughton has recorded 67 strikeouts over 106 innings pitched.
UMBC Notes
• Sophomore Taylor Hall leads the Retrievers in nearly every offensive category including batting average (.412), hits (47), doubles, (7), total bases (75), slugging % (.658), and on-base percentage (.471). Hall also maintains a .985 fielding percentage.
• As a team, UMBC holds a .262 batting average and a .926 fielding percentage.
• UMBC stands at 8-36 overall and 1-14 in the American East Conference. They also have a 1-14 record for away games.
• Senior Heather Brown is the Retrievers' ace in the circle, holding a 4.17 ERA and a 5-17 record.
• UMBC has lost its last 15 consecutive games dating back to March 27.
• Freshman Bridget O'Malley dominates UMBC's squad in stolen bases, notching 10 stolen bases in 12 attempts this season.
George Washington Notes
• The Colonials currently stand at 22-17 on the season and 9-3 in conference play.
• George Washington is in the midst of an 11 game winning streak dating back to April 6.
• As a team, George Washington holds a .259 batting average and .956 fielding percentage.
• Sophomore Victoria Valos is an offensive monster for the Colonials and leads in nearly every offensive category including batting average (.376), runs scored (36), hits (44), homeruns (11), total bases (89), slugging % (.761), and on-base % (.471).
• Senior Amanda Zakeri is quick on the base paths, successfully stealing 26 bases in 32 attempts – the next closest Colonial has just 8 steals.
• George Washington boasts two studs in the circle who have led the Colonials to a first-place ranking in team ERA in the Atlantic 10 – junior Courtney Martin holds a 1.94 ERA which ranks her second in the conference while freshman Meghan Rico has a 2.94 ERA for a ninth place ranking in the A10.
