Men's Tennis Drops Spring Opener to NJIT, 7-0

Philadelphia – The La Salle men's dropped the spring opener on Friday to NJIT, 7-0.

Junior De'Sean Fennell dropped a tough match in the number one position. After dropping the first set, 7-5, Fennell was not able to regroup and win the second set.

"It was a difficult adjustment, but we have a lot of matches ahead of us, " Fennell said of the long break between matches.

The Explorers dropped two double matches before the third match was called because Highlanders earned the point already.

"We are going to continue to build off the match and work hard to make the right adjustments," added junior Thomas MacLeod.

The match was initially postponed a week due to inclement weather.

"We are going to continue to work on getting better," Fennell added.

The Explorers will next take the court on March 9th, when they host Wagner College at the Belfield courts.
