Philadelphia – The La Salle women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match against Lafayette, 7-0.
 
The Explorers were swept in doubles play, but players in the number one position forced a tough match. Senior Caitlin Coelho and junior Celesta Smith dropped the doubles match, 8-3.
 
"It is important for our team to make sure we correct our mistakes we made in the match before we play again" said head coach Tony Green.
 
In singles play, La Salle could not steal any points from the Leopards. Senior Chloe Trave dropped her match, but not before she could steal a game in each set. The senior dropped two straight sets, 6-2.
 
The Explorers will take the court next on March 31st when they host Holy Family at the Belfield Courts at 3:00 p.m.
