Box Score 2 WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – La Salle softball finished up their busy week with a double-header sweep in their final day of action at the Rebel Spring Games. The Explorers avenged a loss earlier in the week to Niagara in the opener, slugging their way past the Purple Eagles 5-3. The Blue and Gold bats stayed hot in the second game, defeating UMass Lowell 10-4.

Michelle Hagarty had a day to remember, as they powered the Explorers to the two-game sweep. Hodgson and Hagarty blasted home runs in both games on the day.
Hagarty finished the day with five hits, slugging a round-tripper in the opener against Niagara, while adding another homer and triple in the second game against UMass Lowell. Hagarty now has three home runs on the season.
Hodgson was a force at the plate in both contests, exhibiting why she is the most prolific home run hitter in program history. She blasted a dinger in the opener against Niagara and added two more, two-run and three-run shots, in the capper against UMass Lowell. She finished the day with eight RBI's. Hodgson is well on her way to topping her total of ten from last season, already with four homers on the young season.
Mary Cate Scott got the start in the first game, notching her first victory of the season.
Alicia Aughton scored the victory in the second game.
