Fairfield Game Postponed, Explorers Host Monmouth On Sunday

Friday's game versus Fairfield has been postponed due to weather. The teams will attempt to play at a later date. 

PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle field hockey team is back at DeVincent Field for the second straight weekend when it hosts MAAC foes Fairfield and Monmouth on Friday and Sunday, respectively. 

Scouting the Explorers
- La Salle has won eight of its past ten home games at DeVincent Field, including the past six non-conference home games.

- Jenica Miller had three assists in a 6-2 win over Saint Louis and her five assists this fall are second in the Atlantic 10.

- Rachel Hartman is fourth in the Atlantic 10 in saves per game (4.89) and 24th nationally.

- La Salle ranks seventh nationally in penalty corners per game (8.44).

Scouting the Stags


- Fairfield is unbeaten on the road (3-0).

- Caitlin Bennett was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in last week's contests where she recorded 18 saves.

- Bennett recorded 45 saves is tied for 11th in the nation with 6.43 saves per game.

- The Stags have been hot as of late winning three of their last four games.

Scouting the Hawks

- The Hawks are looking for their first road win this season (0-5) as they head to DeVincent Field to play the La Salle Explorers. 

- Monmouth freshman Teresa Warner was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Warner leads the team in scoring with six goals and 14 points. 

- The Hawks played No. 2 Syracuse on Friday, the highest ranked team the Hawks have played in their 19-year history.
