PHILADELPHIA - La Salle men's golf has signed Evan Gaesser (Kendall, N.Y. / Kendall) to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Brad Kane announced today.
 
"Evan is one of the more highly rated recruits we've had the good fortune to sign at La Salle, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what he'll bring to the program," Kane said.  "He has a ton of high-level tournament experience, so I think he'll come in and contribute right away.  Off the course he'll be a great asset for us, too, as his academics are really fantastic."
 
Gaesser is a three-time all-Greater Rochester First Team selection. He finished in fourth place at the NYSPHAA Championship after shooting a 77-72. Gaesser had a career-best 36.0 stroke average this past season after posting 37.2 and 38.0 the previous two years.
 
In AJGA play, he finished in the top 15 at the Fore Performance Championship (74-78-76).
