PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – La Salle Softball welcomes conference leader Dayton to Philadelphia for their final weekend of the regular season. The Explorers and Flyers open up their three game series on Saturday at noon as they celebrate senior day prior to the doubleheader.

Text Alerts Scouting the ExplorersLa Salle enters the final weekend of the regular season looking to secure a spot in the Atlantic 10 Tournament for the second straight year. The Explorers currently sit in fifth place with the top six teams in the league earning a spot in the postseason tournament.
Pitching has been vital for the Explorers all season. As a team the Explorers rank third in the Atlantic 10 with a 3.04 ERA. Freshman
McKenzie Peace ranks fourth in the conference with a 1.96 ERA in conference play while earning a 3-3 record. Junior
Mary Cate Scott ranks third in the league with a 2.00 ERA on the year while recording a 6-5 record.
Sophomore
Christina Bascara has been the offensive catalyst for the Explorers all season. She is fourth in the conference with a .488 on base percentage and slugging at .657. She also leads La Salle with 20 runs and seven doubles on the season.
Senior
Alicia Aughton has come on strong late in the season. She leads the team with 18 RBIs in conference play and is hitting .289 against conference opponents.
Linnette Siedler has been hot all season offensively with a .367 average in conference play and an on base percentage of .436 scoring 10 runs in the process.
Scouting the FlyersDayton enters the weekend on a ten game conference winning streak. The Flyers have won six of their seven conference series so far this season with the only non-win coming in a midweek split of a doubleheader with Saint Louis.
The Flyers are tops in the Atlantic 10 in team batting and pitching in conference play. They have a .348 average as a team which is 15 points higher than the next closest team and owns a 0.92 team ERA.
Sophomore Gabrielle Snyder and senior Tiffany Ricks own the third and fourth highest batting averages in the conference play in the league. They are hitting .460 and .446 respectively. Snyder leads the league with eight doubles in conference play while Ricks is fourth in slugging percentage at .786 in conference play.
Dayton has the top three individual ERAs in conference play with senior Kayla English (0.57), freshman Manda Cash (1.09), and sophomore Gabrielle Snyder (1.59) leading the league. English leads the league with a 10-1 record and is sixth in innings pitched 61.1 and third with 60 strikeouts in league play.
