SWARTHMORE, Pa.- The La Salle men's tennis team fell 7-0 to Colgate on Sunday at the Mullan Indoor Tennis Courts at Swarthmore University on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Raiders jumped out to a 1-0 lead thanks to sweeping the doubles action. Junior Mark Robinson and sophomore Meredith Christian fell 6-2 at doubles one to Daughtery and Halie of Colgate. Junior Brian Balico and sophomore Joseph Di Orio dropped a 6-1 decision at the second doubles spot to Laub and Alter of Colgate. The finals doubles result saw sophomores Lane Bangis and Liam Rodriguez fall 6-1 to Hirschberg and Reynolds.
 
Christian and Di Orio both went to three sets during the singles side of competition. Chrisitan fell behind to Laub of Colgate early with a 1-6 loss. However, he come back and won the second set 7-5 before falling 4-6 in the third singles spot. Di Orio jumped out to an early lead taking the first set 6-4 against Alter in the fourth singles spot. Alter came back and took the second set 3-6 and the tiebreaker 10-5 for the decision.
 
Robinson kept things close in the third singles spot, but ultimately lost 3-6, 4-6 to Noah Rosenblat of Colgate. The top singles spot saw Balico fall in straight sets at 6-1 of Daughtery. Hirschberg swept things 6-0 in the fifth singles spot.
 
La Salle returns to action on Friday as they take on Saint Louis at the Upper Dublin Racquet Club.
