PHILADELPHIA - The La Salle University women's tennis team opened its spring schedule with a matchup with City 6 rival Drexel on Saturday, dropping a 4-0 decision.
The Explorers dropped the doubles point by a 3-0 margin and lost at the No. 6 position by default to fall behind 2-0. The Dragons also earned wins at the No. 2 and No. 5 positions to close out the match.
Freshman
Ali Snyder went to a tiebreaker in her first set against fellow frosh Ghita Benhadi before dropping the tiebreaker, 8-5. The second set did not start before the match was clinched by Drexel.
La Salle returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 22 at Lafayette. The match is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
