Ali Snyder earned a win at the No. 1 singles position but the La Salle University women's tennis team lost a 6-1 decision to Lafayette on Sunday afternoon.
Snyder won the first set, 6-2, then was victorious 6-4 in the second to pick up the win over Leopards senior Rocine Moschella. Junior
Ally Santerelli nearly came back from an early one-set deficit, winning the second by a 7-5 margin before falling in the decisive third-set tiebreak, 10-7.
Lafayette picked up the doubles point by sweeping all three matches and also won five singles matches to take home the victory.
La Salle returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 4 as it travels to Bucknell to take on the Bison.
