"As a freshman last year Grace finished 79th in this meet, she came back this year and finished 11th to earn her first All-Conference honor," said head coach
Tom Peterson. "That type of improvement is a testament to hard work and that it does pay off. I believe this was a breakthrough race for Grace."
Mancini turned in a time of 18:17.7 on the 5k course to pace the Explorers.
Kaitlin Poiesz,
Allana Powlette, and
Morgan Szekely all finished within a few seconds of each other about a minute behind Mancini. Poiesz ran 19:09.1 to finish 45

Megan Connell and
Michelle Myland finished sixth and seventh for La Salle, displacing others in scoring. Connell clocked 19:37.5 while Myland crossed the finish line in 19:41.0.
"Although this is an improvement from last year, 8th in the Atlantic 10 Conference is not where we want to or should be," added Peterson. "We have two weeks to regroup before regionals where we will have an opportunity to prove that we are better than we were today."
