ELKTON, Md. - For the third time this spring, sophomore
Francesco Mowrey earned a victory at the top singles spot for the La Salle University men's tennis team. Mowrey was the lone victor for the Explorers, who dropped a 6-1 decision to Delaware on Thursday afternoon.
Playing in his first season with La Salle, Mowrey earned wins over opponents from Drexel and Bucknell, and notched another victory over UD's Blaise Casselbury by a 6-4, 6-0 margin. In other action, junior
Joe DiOrio gave his opponent at the No. 3 position all he could handle before falling in three sets.
La Salle returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 19 against Saint Peter's, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
